Libations

Lavender Soda (about 2 tablespoons of syrup with 8-10 oz. of soda water)

Lavender Simple Syrup:

– 1 cup sugar (I used turbinado)

– 1 cup water

– 2 tablespoons culinary lavender

Bring everything to a boil, boil gently until the sugar dissolves, turn off the burner and allow the lavender to steep as the mixture cools, about 30 minutes.

Coda

I visited Yarnstory in Hawaii on the island of Oahu.  I found a few beauties to take home: a few skeins of Shibui linen (sorry I kept calling it hemp!) in “Brick,” Cestari fingering-weight cotton, and a locally dyed skein of 50% silk/50% merino.

    1. That’s so sweet of you, Sarah! I was just watching an episode of the Homespun House podcast and Molly mentioned you! I thought to myself, “I know a famous person!” Still catching up on your podcast – been watching them totally out of order, but oh well.
