old WIPS: Vermeil Scarf and the Viajante Shawl.

Using some brown tweedy wool, and some pink polyester for the lining.

IN THE KITCHEN
Carrot Soup from The Art of Simple Food by Alice Waters
2 1/2 lbs carrots, peeled and diced
2 onions, sliced
sprig of thyme
6 cups chicken broth salt
Saute sliced onions and thyme in a large pot with approx. 4 tablespoons butter for about 10 minutes, add carrots, season with salt, and continue to sauté for an additional 5 minutes. Add broth and simmer for about 30 minutes or until the carrots and onions are tender. Blend to desired consistency.
